Code of Medical Ethics
During the Extraordinary XVI National Medical Assembly of May 18, 2024, delegates processed proposals for amendments to the Code of Medical Ethics. Over 50 amendments were submitted. The deliberations took place in an atmosphere of open and constructive exchange of views. One of the main points of discussion was the issue of the doctor-patient relationship, including maintaining the basic principles of professional ethics in contact with the patient. During the vote on the new regulations, delegates decided to introduce a number of changes aimed at adapting the Code to the changing medical realities and the ongoing digitalization of healthcare. Among the novelties were, among others, guidelines on the use of modern technologies in medical practice and recommendations on the use of social media by doctors and dentists
